On Friday 23rd April 2021, as part of the 106th Anniversary commemoration events in the UK, 4 poppy wreaths were laid at the base of the Cenotaph war memorial in Whitehall, London.

Present at the ceremony were

– His Grace Bishop Hovakim Manukyan, the Primate of the Armenian Church of UK & Ireland

– Tim Loughton MP, Chair of the APPG for Armenia

– His Excellency Mr. Gagik Kirakosyan, Charge de affair of the Embassy of the Republic of Armenian to the UK & Ireland

– Mr. Armand Abramian, Chair of the Armenian Community Council of the UK

Also present were Mr. Stephen Pond, other Armenian Embassy staff, members of ACC UK and community representatives. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, the event was closed to the general public and community members.
