UK Community Transfers Funds for Syrian-Armenian Relief

 Syrian Armenian Relief Fund

Report of
The transfer of funds for relief

The committee of SARF gratefully acknowledges the generous response to its appeal for funds to help our brethren in Syria.

As you are aware the continuing fierce conflict in Syria has disrupted normal life and has endangered the minority communities specifically. The Catholicosates of Edjmiadzin and Cilicia have called upon all Armenians to donate funds to assist and supply the Armenians who live in Syria. In response the ACCC commissioned SARF Committee to start immediately and collect donations.

The Committee is happy to announce that as a result of the generous response received so far it has been able to collect £ 10400.00 and have transferred this amount to the Catholicosate of Cilicia to onward transmission to the Diocese of Aleppo on 28 September 2012.

We are determined to continue our fundraising in the UK and look forward to raising more funds and contributing to the general relief effort by all communities in the Diaspora.

We hope that with your continued and generous help we can raise more monies for our sisters and brothers in Syria.

Please follow our announcements of events and give generously

Collection boxes are situated in churches and schools and you can also visit our website www.accc.org.uk, we ask all our community members and organisations to help and contribute to this essential task.

A BIG THANK YOU TO OUR DONORS
