Kashatagh
The British-Armenian Kashatagh Campaign (BACK) is organised and facilitated by the Armenian Community & Church Council of Great Britain in association with the Tufenkian Foundation of N.Y.
Supporters of this campaign are a number of organisations from the community which are:

Kashatagh is the region which connects Artsakh to Armenia and is one of the poorest regions. The current inhabitants of Kashatagh region are formed, in part, of veterans of the Artsakh war. They live in an impoverished state in these ancestral lands which need to be protected and cultivated for future generations. However, this part of Artsakh is in desperate need of our help to be rebuilt.
Most, if not all, of the inhabitants in the villages live in worn torn houses with living conditions well below the poverty line. The region is in dire need for funding to undertake infrastructure projects, transport, medical, educational, wellbeing and agricultural projects in order to relieve the population from the daily hard living conditions, examples of which are sending a child to the nearest village for schooling, or commuting for at least three hours to reach a nurse or transporting a bucket of water from the hills.
Through a house renovation project, BAKC aims to help improve the living conditions of the villagers living in the Kashatagh region of Artsakh. Working in cooperation with the Tufenkian Foundation, BAKC is currently raising funds to renovate 25 run-down houses in the village of Getap. The cost to bring each house to a habitable condition is around £2000.
Aid Kashatagh Committee commenced its fundraising campaign by spreading bulletin news, messages, presenting documentaries and lectures to UK Armenians since October 2009 and is grateful to those donors who have contributed generously.
Aid Kashatagh Committee is appealing to our community to raise funds from individuals and organizations. Your contribution would offer much hope to the revitalisation programs of this land.
