The Armenian Medical Association of Great Britain was established about twenty years ago with a view to bringing together Armenian professionals in the medical field. Its activities included lectures on various medical subjects and other activities to create opportunities for members' discussions etc. Very soon after its establishment, Armenia experienced the tragic earthquake of 1988 and the Association was of immense assistance to the relief operation from the UK by securing and checking huge quantities of medical supplies and equipment for airlift to Armenia.
There can be great benefits both to the Community as well as to the membership in having an active and fully subscribed Medical Association of Armenian professional. AMA calls on all Armenian Doctors, Dentists, Nurses, Pharmacists and other medically related professionals in the U.K. to register as members.
