ARMENIAN PARLIAMENTARY ELECTIONS

The Armenian Central
Electoral Commission (CEC) ratified at its 5:00 p.m. on 13th May, 2007, session the initial results of the parliamentary elections.
The CEC announced that from an electorate of 2,316,038
persons, 1,389,521 had participated in the elections.
The following five parties qualified to comprise the Parliament:
1) the Armenian Republican Party - 457,032 votes,
2) "Prosperous Armenia" - 204,443 votes, 3) Armenian Revolutionary Federation
(Dashnaktsoutioun) - 177,792 votes 4) Orinats Yerkir - 95,256 votes and
5) "Heritage" party - 80,890 votes.
Other results are as follows:
The National Democratic Party 8,591 votes. The National Accord 4,251 votes.
The National Unity 49,863 votes. The Dashink (Alliance) 33,093 votes. The People's Party 37,034 votes. The Democratic Path 8,468 votes. The Impeachment bloc 17,808 votes.
The Democratic Party of Armenia-3,780votes. The Youth Party of Armenia 2,303 votes. The People's Party of Armenia 23,629 votes. The Communist Party of Armenia 8,835 votes.
The Marxist Party 2,896 votes. The Hanrapetutyun (Republic) 22,609 votes. The United Labor Party 59,307 votes. The New Times Party 47,018 votes. The Hnchakyan Social-Democratic Party (Nor Serount) - 989 votes |
